As of 12 noon on December 31st, 2016, the Bitcoin has risen to a record high not seen since 2014. We previously predicted that the price of BTC would reach the $800 USD per BTC mark (Read: Is Bitcoin About to Reach the $800 Mark?) and here we are at the end of 2016 — where the price of Bitcoin is $960.55 / 1 BTC.
The Bitcoin opened at $960.47 and reached a low of $945.74, so while it undulated a bit, the Bitcoin is looking strong at the end of this year. This was predicted to occur due to the changes in the Chinese Yuan in November. In addition, the demonetization in India has boosted the price of Bitcoin to its greatest high since 2014. More and more Chinese citizens began to invest in Bitcoin because of turbulence in the conventional currency market.
For investors, online Bitcoin gamblers, and those who prefer alternative currencies/cryptocurrencies, this was an opportunity to make some money and profit.
Will We See a $1,000 BTC?
It’s looking more and more likely that online Bitcoin casino players and investors are going to be able to see a $1,000 / BTC mark sometime in the very near future. With the value of this cryptocurrency continuing to increase, if you have stock in BTC, it looks to be in your best interest to hold out as the price raises.
There are always unknowns when it comes to stocks and the value of cryptocurrency — the main variables are political and regional, however, 2017 is looking to start off in the black.
